June 25, 1950 - North Korean Communist invades South Korea by crossing the 38th Parallel.
June 27, 1950 - The United Nations calls for cease-fire and ask the UN members to assist South Korea.
June 28, 1950 - North Korea captures Seoul.
July 8, 1950 - General Douglas MacArthur is designated commander of unified UN forces.
August - September, 1950 - Pusan Beachhead; UN forces counterattack and capture Seoul.
October 26, 1950 - Chinese Communists enter war.
November 1, 1950 - First US vs. Communist fighting at Unsan.
February 1, 1951 - The UN censures ( shows great disapproval ) People's Republic of China for "aggression".
April 5, 1951 - President Truman dismisses MacArthur from command.
April 11, 1951 - Truman takes Eisenhower out of command so he can run for the seat of being president.
November 4, 1951 - Eisenhower wins the seat of Presidency by a landslide.
November 29, 1952 - The President ( Eisenhower ) secretly goes to Korea on a fact-finding mission.
February 11, 1953 - The frustrated Van Fleet is replaced with Lt. General Maxwell Taylor.
April 16, 1953 - The Communists launch an attack on "Pork Chop Hill".
June 8, 1953 - "Terms of Reference," is signed, regulating POW ( Prisoners of War ) repatriation. .
July 19, 1953 - Delegates finally reach an agreement at Panmunjom.
July 27, 1953 - Peace Treaty is signed at Panmunjom and the 38th Parallel is reset as a boundary between communist North Korea and anti-communist South Korea.
